Actions You Can Take
- Educate yourself about the City Code and online resources.
- Evaluate your property and trim as needed.
- Tell your friends and neighbors about SeeKids.org.
- If a neighbor has overgrown vegetation, refer him to SeeKids.org.
- If your neighbor does not comply in a timely manner, if the overgrown vegetation is causing a critical safety issue, or you do not know the property owner; then report the problem to the Community Standards unit. Call (734) 794-6942, or e-mail CommunityStandards@a2gov.org
- Send a copy of your complaint to kgriswol@umich.edu and we will track it on this site and escalate it if it is not resolved in 30 days.
- If your complaint is for property outside the City of Ann Arbor’s jurisdiction, then we will report the problem to the appropriate governmental unit. (Examples are township islands and U of M property.)
- Share your thoughts, photos and recommendations on the SeeKids.org Blog.
